The local association will be responsible for marking you paid locally on this system and will forward your AHSAA application fee to the AHSAA office. When AHSAA receive the fee from the local association contact person, you will be marked paid at the state level. You will begin the benefits set forth within the coverage of the NFHS insurance policy used by the AHSAA for our officials.
You will then be eligible to begin the online clinic and testing process to complete your registration with the AHSAA. In order to complete the registration process and be eligible to officiate AHSAA member school contests, you must make a passing score of 80 on this exam. In order to complete the registration process and be eligible to officiate AHSAA member school contests as a Restricted official, you must make a passing score of 70 on this exam.
Officials Star Sportsmanship
The AHSAA Central Board of Control passed the requirement for all officials who register with the AHSAA to complete the Officials Star Sportsmanship component prior to working any contest in the future. The component is ready to be done.
All officials must complete Star Sportsmanship program prior to working a contest.
It will take about 30 minutes to go through online. Please go ahead and get this done when you get a chance. It will provide some good insight into your own thought process during a contest.

Mission Statement
The mission of the AHSAA officiating program is to provide an opportunity for all officials to improve themselves as officials while upgrading the quality of officiating in their local associations. This will coincide with a greater effort to provide consistency in officiating throughout the state and to promote an enhanced spirit of the high school philosophy by serving as teachers and role models for all students involved in interscholastic competition.
